Summer Youth Internship Program

The Summer Youth Internship Program is entering it's 4th year of helping students explore careers in local government. The program allows for residents of Long Branch age 15 and older and currently enrolled in Long Branch Public Schools to obtain hands-on experience in local government, through a paid internship with the City. 

The program will allow students to explore opportunities in local government through various offices including the Long Branch Police Department, Long Branch Fire Department / Fire Bureau, the Arts and Cultural Center, the Senior Center, the Department of Public Works, the Department of Recreation and the Office of Special Events, Office of Community and Economic Development, Office of Administration, Payroll / Purchasing, Office of the City Clerk and Office of Information Technology.

Interested parties should pick up a Summer Youth Internship Program application at Long Branch City Hall (Information Desk, First Floor), located at 344 Broadway Long Branch, NJ 07740, or visit www.longbranch.org/SYIP, which will be available starting March 25th.

Applications will be accepted from Monday, March 31, 2025 - Friday, May 2, 2025, in person, at Long Branch City Hall’s Office of Administration (Second Floor) or electronically by emailing the application to Internships@longbranch.org.

Program Operating Dates: July 7 - August 15, 2025
